This site is dedicated to the memory of David Pearce.

We lost the patriarch of our family on April 11, 2013. David Albert Pearce, born Sept. 16, 1939, lost his eight-month battle against Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He was the loving husband of Emily (Daner) Pearce for 35 years, and combined, they were blessed with nine children, 18 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren scattered from Ohio to North Carolina, Philadelphia to Singapore. David was born and raised as an only child to Albert and Anna Pearce in Philadelphia. He graduated from Germantown High School in 1957 and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Saratoga for six years. He was a proud and honored veteran. David was a successful retired instrumentation engineer and then served as an advocate for macular degeneration when he, himself, was diagnosed in 1982. He and Emily moved to Huron 20 years ago to retire at their “Paradise on the Lake” as he referred to their home. He passed away with his family by his side in the comfort of his home on Thursday morning, Apr 11, 2013, thanks to the wonderful staff of Stein Hospice Services. He will be greatly missed by his family and large pool of wonderful friends who could not help but be drawn to his genuine personality. Rest in Peace — Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Friend…you will be missed dearly by all who had the honor to share your life.
